Winemaker and chef, representing the vision between Bertus Albertyn, winemaker and owner at Maverick Estate Winery, and Chef Chris Van Hooydonk , Owner and chef of Backyard Farm Chef’s Table and Cooking School. Experience an evening celebrating the relationship between food and wine, represented by the passion of two like minded visionaries. Reception and wine tour with Bertus at the winery, followed by a multi-course wine paired dinner at Backyard Farm Chef’s Table. Local and seasonally inspired menu capturing the harvest of dedicated farming partners, and a testament to the craftsmanship of Maverick Wines. Your unique experience will start with a reception and tour of the winery. Sip an estate wine, and watch Winemaker Bertus Albertyn and Chef Chris Von Hooydonk create a themed starter that incorporates our South African heritage with an Okanagan twist. |

Then move with us to Backyard Farm, an organic farm five minutes away, in an intimate setting where you will continue to share the dreams and savour a four-course dinner emphasizing local flavours and perfectly pairing Maverick wines, including the newly released Rubicon, our red blend, and Sofia, our port-style wine. |

Travel to the event is provided by Landsea Okanagan, the cost of which is included in the price of the event. Once your dinner reservation is confirmed, you will make your travel arrangements directly with Landsea and leave the driving to them.
